Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - and her site

Aparecium! Yep, and now you may finally see what’s written here, thanks to one of Hermione Granger’s magic spells there.

And who’s Hermione? Well, for you who never knew her, she’s one of the main characters in the Harry Potter story. Right, the famous book series!

While the girl shown here is of course – as the title shows – Emma Watson, a Paris-born British young actress who plays Hermione in all the five-successful-movie based on the books.

Watson has just had her 18th birthday last April. And accidentally or not, there was a bit of scandal out there, regarding some pictures of her taken by paparazzi on that special day.

But that’s not what ‘triggered’ me to write this post. Actually, it was when recently I found news of Watson on the Yahoo! 7’s New Idea (its lifestyle magazine). It’s just a short news about how she spent some break she had with travelling – after the next release of Harry Potter movie was confirmed to be postponed.

The news attracted me to search around, until then I got into Ms Watson’s official website. A very cute ‘little website’, which surprised me a bit with its twittering-birds sound – since I happened to have my headset on that night.

Though I’ve presented my material about website review already, I’d really like to make a few comments here too, about this particular site.

Basically, like some other webs of many popular actresses, I guess it has a standard kind of menu. Yet, there are several interesting little things this site has, that make it more ‘cute’ and very audience – i.e. teen fans – oriented, such as the flash animation (with the sound), or details on “about her” section.

A more interesting thing is the media section, which not only provides some photos and wallpapers – as in other celebrity’s web – to be downloaded, but also a few chat room icons (headers). The site also has a section of personal letters (notes) from Watson herself, called the “e.m.s”, which even though not updated so frequently, appears in an interesting flash application, changing regular fonts to handwritten-kind-of fonts.

One more thing it has is the Harry Potter section, with some quotes and comments from people about Watson and her acting role. Plus, a new-tab link to the official site of Harry Potter movies.

So, I’d say it’s actually really nice and advanced, for a not-so-mature actress’ site – though of course there’s a professional who manages it. And that’s it. Finite Incantatem (may there be no more ‘magical problem’ with this post..)! :D
