Now, this video is a bit interesting and ‘rare’ I guess, because it features three very young musicians who support the female singer (namely Mulan), performing Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’Mine live and on TV. First, there is this talented drummer, probably around 15 or 16-year-old, Adri Hamzah. Then this amazing guitarist, a very young kid – they say he’s nine – named Ritchie Rivaldi Malmstin. And finally, the bassist who is also Adri’s big sister, Tjut Faranissa Bachrumsyah a.k.a Nissa Hamzah.

Well, a bit about Nissa, she’s actually a 19-year-old bass player from a group called Omelette (plays along her guitarist-brother Rian). Being so young and female, probably makes her has a certain point of popularity. Yet, her good skill on bass guitar is what more admired by many people, even when she was still a child – by becoming the best bass player in a couple of band festivals at around age 12.

And Nissa’s [bass] skill continues to develop, and was perhaps proven again when she was elected as one of the “13 Indonesian Bass Heroes” in 2006. The group of bassists showcased their abilities through a nice instrumental album – where Nissa also made her own bass composition called Rush – under Indonesia’s Sony-BMG, and then through a one-time live performance.
