Well, perhaps I’d just like to post something a bit OOT (“out of topic” that is) for a moment. It has nothing to do with films, though I believe still “on track” since we’ve just talked about music, and these are two Indonesia’s music-related videos.
These clips become something of interests for me, maybe simply because it’s from Indonesia, and it’s about music. But more than that, the videos showcase a couple of Indonesia’s talented young musicians, which brings a feeling of proud to me.
Anyway, on the other hand, at least just consider this as my initial trial for video-posting in this blog. So, here goes the first.
……
This last year’s home-made video presents a 20-year-old Indonesian female guitarist named Prisa Adinda Arini Rianzi (Prisa). Here she plays the guitar cover for a Lamb of God’s song, Hourglass.
Became Miss Gitaris.Com in 2006 and while seemingly affiliated with the site, Prisa’s name actually has been around since 2005, especially in the Indonesian underground music scheme, with her metal band Zala. Since then, she has been performing with several top Indonesian bands, including playing with her own bands/projects such as Deadsquad, Vendetta, and a new pop-band called Morning Star.
Recently, Prisa has just released a pop solo-album as a singer – still playing all the main guitar parts though. Such a talented young girl, who has made Jackson Guitars company endorsing her since last year with its product. Oh, and the newest one, she was elected as one of the “36 Indonesian Guitar Heroes” in last month’s issue of Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine.
