Loving superheroes? Well, they’re around.

The Joker: Ooh… a little fight in you. I like that!

Batman: Then you’re going to love me..!

……

The Dark Knight (TDK) is currently still on cinema screens in Sydney. Previously, there was The Incredible Hulk (TIH). Oh, and yes, there was Iron Man (IM) as well. For some movie-mania, all of them – along with Hancock perhaps – are probably best known under this particular movie-genre called fantasy movies; or to be more specific: superhero movies.

The first three on the list of titles there – TDK, TIH and IM – are mainly about these extra-ordinary characters, some superheroes that are already famous through comic books published by two big US-based publishing companies: the DC Comics and Marvel Comics.

Not sure yet? Well, Batman (TDK) is DC’s, while The Hulk and Iron Man are Marvel’s.

Without any intention to ignore other superheroes from other creators, perhaps DC’s and Marvel’s characters are [truly] the most successful ones. They’ve even been made into films/movies, or TV serials and others since the early 40’s. Marvel had its movie serials on Captain America in 1944, while DC had it earlier, with Adventures of Captain Marvel in 1941.

By checking the links [above] with the list of both companies’ movies, now we should be sure enough that their characters are really popular. Yes, there are The Flash, Aquaman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Batgirl, even Constantine as well on the DC’s list. While on Marvel’s, there are also Conan, Blade, Ghostrider, Daredevil, Elektra, The Punisher, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and don’t forget the loveable one: Spider-Man!

Now, for any superheroes lover, especially a real fan, check out Superhero Hype, a site that might as well of interests and useful – because there are more movies to come.
